It's another five questions meme :3 Only this time, um... No keyword, I guess? XD
1. Who's your favorite author, and why?
I'd have to say Ray Bradbury. He's written a lot of novels and short stories that can be considered "classics", and one of those novels is one of the most ironic banned books (Fahrenheit 451, read it if your school hasn't assigned it for whatever stupid reason). His stories are his idea of the "future" for his time (which, if I'm correct, is our "present"), and they're filled with lots of creative ideas. Not just robots doing all our chores, or hover cars, but stuff like space stations with artificial suns, or firefighters literally being people who light things (usually books) on fire.
2. What was your favorite subject in school?
Well, even though summer's going on, I still have two years left of high school plus college, but I guess, since I'm taking a bunch of new classes at the new school I'm attending, I'd have to say the combinations and permutations block (blocks are usually three to four weeks long at the private school I attend; they're the longest class of the day, too). This block was really fun, because our math teacher imported fortune telling (I-Ching, which is a Chinese fortune telling; it has blocks like this: ☰ ☱ ☲ ☳ ☴ ☵ ☶ ☷ in it, and there are a total of 64 possible combinations), music (there were bits and pieces of musical scores given, and based on the throwing of dice, we'd make a combo of those scores with the help of some sheet that paired the dice values and the score numbers together), and even cryptology (code breaking FOR THE WIN). I kind of miss having this class, and wish I could take it all over again.
3. What's the last movie you saw in theaters?
Since I had three sets of parents (one set was when I stayed in Saratoga Springs, NY for one month), I'll list all three. With my dad, it was Shrek 4, which was OK, but didn't compare to the earlier ones (especially the second). With my mom, How to Train Your Dragon, which was absolutely ADOWABLE (I wanna take Toothless home~~~). With the mother and kids of the family I stayed with, Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I never read the books (they came out when I'd be considered "too old" for them, I guess), and the movie wasn't the greatest, but I have to admit, there were some things in there I found to be true when I attended
4. Favorite carb snack: chips, pretzels, or popcorn?
Chips. Especially Baked Lays, Doritos (Nacho Cheesy only), organic Doritos, organic Cheetos, etc.
5. Would you rather live in a city, the country, or the suburbs?
Seeing how I've lived in the suburbs all my life, got to live in the country when I was really young and through camping trips, and stayed a night in NYC, I'll have to say suburbs. It's not too populated or noisy, but at the same time, it isn't too quiet.
